Storyboard of New Topic

Jaco and I would like to change the topic of final project to ‘Reduced Bearing” which is part of DIRECTION in Form 1 Geography. Students easily forget how the directions are measured from the north or the south in reduced bearing and cannot express the direction correctly, such as, NxoE, NxoW, SxoE and SxoW ( 0 < x < 90 ). Proposal for the Final Assignment

Cheung Chun Kay, Jaco and I would like to prepare a flash learning object which explores the relationship between the graphs of y = f(x) and y = f(x + k), where f(x) is in the form of ax2 + bx + c. As the transformation of the graphs of functions is a new topic in the 1999 Secondary Mathematics which can be found in the coming 334 senior secondary mathematics syllabus, we hope that we can prepare a learning object which can help students to visualize one of the transformation effects (i.e. translation) by changing certain parameter(s), such the values of a, b, c and k.

Difficulties anticipated at this moment:
1. How to draw the gridlines in flash
2. How to draw the quadratic graph
3. How to make a slider

I prepared the presentation with my partner, Jaco Cheung Chun Kay, in the following steps.

(1) Summarized the content in a sheet of paper.
(2) Extracted useful information to prepare a pencil draft for our PowerPoint.

(3) Prepared the PowerPoint based on the pencil draft.

(4) After further discussion, we modified and enriched the content for our final presentation.

Review of uploading ppt

Having not written diary for many years, I have to manage my own blog in this course. It is quite difficult to express myself only in one slide of PowerPoint. What should I introduce? My hobbies, interest, studying course, family or working place? I've tried my best to make the decision. Finally, I introduce myself by showing the photos of various stages in my life and some photos of my students. They make me proud of being their teachers. I'm glad to share the music composed by my student who wrote it for me.
After I've finished making the PowerPoint, I uploaded it to the web space in 'iln' and checked it carefully. Eventually, I found that there is no sound effect when I click the link in other desktops (not my own one). Oh! What's wrong? I've tried to upload the music file and the folder but I failed in everything.
Technology can help to explain information quickly and simply in various visual representations but also to make one depressed and helpless easily. I hope that I can change my mind and become more optimistic by the end of the course. I'll work hard to find out what's going wrong and solve the problem as soon as possible.
