Prototype Presentation

My partner, Jaco and I have prepared the following prototype of the group assignment. To click the backward or forward button, different reduced bearings will be shown on the top left hand corner.

Jaco and I are planning to make use of a slider to move the pointer around instead of clicking the buttons hundred times. We'll work hard to solve this problem.

Move along a Circular Path (2)

Tonight, I've tried to add more functions in my 'exercise'. This is stage 2. If you click the 'next' button or 'previous' button. The red pointer moves forward or backward. The whole circle bearing of place A, B, C or D is shown in the yellow box. I hope to practice more and can apply the skills in my group's final project.

Move along a circular path

With the Daniel's demonstration, we know how to show a point to move along a circular path. My partner, Jaco has already uploaded the recent exploration on his blog. This time, I want to practice more and try to make a simple flash exercise to show the concept of 'whole circle bearing'. However, I do not have enough time. The exercise only shows the basic concept of my idea. I still need some more time to show the direction of various places in degrees. Thus, this is only my personal exercise in early stage. I'll upload the final stage of my exercise as soon as possible.

Interactive Map

I think that I must be a 'slow' learner. I've just finished the interactive map. At the beginning, I followed the steps from Daniel's tutorial file. However, I could not complete all the action scripts. It took me a lot of time to find out the reason. Fortunately, my partner, Jaco told me to try the older version of flash, Flash MX, instead of Flash MX Professional 2004. Now, I can invite all of you to feel free to give me comments on my interactive map.

Storyboard of New Topic

Jaco and I would like to change the topic of final project to ‘Reduced Bearing” which is part of DIRECTION in Form 1 Geography. Students easily forget how the directions are measured from the north or the south in reduced bearing and cannot express the direction correctly, such as, NxoE, NxoW, SxoE and SxoW ( 0 < x < 90 ). The storyboard of the our new topic, Reduced Bearing can be found in the following link:
